October 2023
Welcome back to another monthly Coach's Newsletter! I'm sending this from my home as I recover from hosting the Trojan Classic this weekend.
We made it to October! I'm ready for pumpkin everything, cooler temperatures, and a million debate tournaments.
And a Happy Hispanic Heritage Month to everyone!
Trojan Classic tournament recap!
I have to start this email with a HUGE thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, made a snack, item, or monetary donation, and to the booster club (especially the Trojan Classic committee) for helping us to run a fantastic tournament. I heard nothing but compliments on the concession stand and the hospitality room. Thank you for helping this tournament to be successful, thank you for bringing your students to stay here all day Saturday to volunteer, and thank you for your support. I am so pleased with how this event went.
We hosted 200 students from 16 different schools representing Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, San Antonio, and Wimberley, and 70 coaches and judges.
