2024-25 TFA State and TOC Points Tracker

The Texas Forensic Association (txfa.org) is our state circuit.
Most local tournaments we attend are TFA tournaments.
The TFA State tournament is hosted every year in March by a different region. This year, TFA State is March 6-8 at Prairie View A&M University.
Students must earn 12 points to be eligible to compete at TFA State 2025. State points are earned at local TFA tournaments when students advance to outrounds.

The Tournament of Champions is the national circuit we compete on. Students must earn 2 bids to be eligible to compete at the 2025 TOC.
The Tournament of Champions is hosted in April at the University of Kentucky. This year, it is scheduled for April 26-28.
Students earn TOC bids by advancing at national circuit tournaments. Information can be found here!

The Public Forum team of Sam and Nick advanced to double octofinals!!
They were in the top 32 teams in the state of Texas. Sam was also ranked in the top 60 speakers.
Lincoln Douglas debaters Nate and Luke both advanced to octofinals!!
This put both in the top 16 debaters in Texas. Nate was the 12th overall highest ranked speaker and Luke was the 17th!!
The duo interpretation team of Lucky and Lily were quarterfinalists!!
In Congress, Henry and Gabi broke to semifinals!!
Henry was also the highest ranked debater after the preliminary rounds!! -
Nate and Luke both advanced to out rounds and earned speaker awards in Lincoln Douglas debate!

Orion and Ananya broke to double octos, putting them in the top 32 at the tournament out of 108 teams!!
Sam and Nick advanced to octofinals, placing them in the top 16 teams at the tournament!
Sam also received a speaker award for being the 12th best speaker at the tournament- out of 216 speakers!!

Our sweet novices Amanda Kromer and Zoe Taylor both advanced in extemp on both sides of the swing!! On the Pflugerville side, Zoe Taylor WON first place in novice extemp!! On the Hendrickson side, Zoe took home first place and Amanda took home second place!!
On the Pflugerville side:
Salomé Casey advanced to semis in her very first extemp round!
Our amazing seniors took home trophies, with Kendall Meachum placing 3rd and Logan Marcum placing 2nd!!
On the Hendrickson side:
All three of our senior extempers made it to finals
(At their last first tournament of their high school careers) and placed in the top 6!

And don’t think I’ve forgotten our debaters.
We brought four congressional debaters to Hendrickson and all four them advanced to the semi final round!! That’s Colin McGowan, Emmy Ward, Henry Dieringer and Gabi Avramova.
Of those four, three of them advanced to the finals! Our finalists were Emmy, Gabi, and Henry, and Henry ultimately placed 4th overall!
Public Forum: Samantha Martin and Nick Sharma made it all the way to the semi final round of the tournament.
The teams of Benko/Spindler and Arora/Yalamanchili both went 3-1, losing only ONE round of their four prelims. Our other senior team, Dietz and Foreman, went 2-2!
World Schools: Our seniors Bryn Oliver, Orion Padden, and Alex Webster competed for only the third time together and first time this year and advanced all the way to the semi final round.
